Nearly School Holidays
So, last Thursday and Friday DP had no school. I go shopping on Thursday so told him if he was going to be home all day he can do the kitchen. I got home about 2pm and he hadn't done much at all. At 3pm I picked up DD5 and went to mum's to meet the older kids and we had tea there. When we got home DP had at least done the kitchen, most of it anyway. Friday morning I said how I can't wait until I don't have the school run to do, how in the holidays I plan to stay home as much as possible. I told him I resent that I have to go out every morning, how nice it would be if he could take DD5 to school just one day a week. He took that to mean that I hate my social life and said I should give up something. I took on the responsibility that fills my Friday mornings, I am not going to shirk that. I compared it to him going to school, he should take that more seriously than he does. For some reason he takes me saying "I want to spend time at home alone" as "I want to leave DD2 with you when I go out"... idiot. That was our arguement for the day. Saturday I took the girls shopping for groceries. DP thought we were having lunch out so he and DS14 ate and he went for a nap at 12.30pm! We bought home McDonalds and put DP's in the fridge. We went to mum's in the afternoon so DS could mow for her and got a message from DP around 4pm asking if we'd left something in the fridge for tea. We had. Sunday mum bought the mower over and DS did here. DP had done some dishes that morning but did nothing the time mum was here. Actually DD17 was drying dishes when she arrived and the two of them did most of what was there. I pruned the rose out the front, I really want to get rid of the thing but there wasn't room in the bin. I also went out the back while DS was mowing and there is always a section he misses under the tree. I got the rake and had a look, DP's sister's stuff that he got sick of looking after is there - shoes, a bag, junk. I got rid of some but the rest will have to wait until I find some good gloves. I also realised that the laminater has been left outside the shed door. When I told DP he gave DS a dirty look and got a "what?" in return. I asked why he did it too, he says that besides himself DS is the only one that takes stuff out of the shed. It's likely he did it himself and doesn't remember though, he does that. How dare he blame my son though, jerk! Today is Monday, I was awake for about an hour listening to DP snore and when I got up it was about 3am. I sat up and watched tv for an hour when DP got up and said "Go to bed", it sounded like an order so I said "Excuse me?" and he repeated it but not so abruptly. He ended up staying up, and DD17 said when she got up at 6am DP was asleep in his chair and snoring. I got up at 7am and he was sitting on the computer. I took DD5 to school and have been home the rest of the day. I made a hand puppet with DD2 and then had a visitor around 10.30am. DP has sat on the computer all day though he did some dishes, a rackful. The sink is full. When DD2 had a nap at 12.15pm I tried to tidy my craft area. I have a long way to go. DP went to bed at 2pm. Now I'm off to get DD5, bring her home, get ready for her sport and go again.
