Living with an Agoraphobic WoW Addict

This is my diary, a record of what it's like living with a partner who has
Anxiety Disorder and Social Phobia and how it's affecting us.

Monday

So this morning I was up at 6am and had my shower before I updated the last post. DP got up at 6.45am and went to the toilet then asked me what time it was before going back to bed! I was so pissed off by that. I started doing some dishes then put the kettle on to get myself breakfast. Shortly after that DD5 got up and I could hear DD2 stirring so when they were both up I got them breakfast. DP got up around 7.30am I think. The older 2 got up and got themselves ready to go to school, and I got DD5 ready. I took her and DD2 to school then came home. I'd put a load of washing on so DD2 and I went outside to hang it out, and the washing from yesterday that hadn't dried. Today is a much nicer day. I got a phone call from a friend that loves to talk so was on the phone to her for ages, I'd put more washing on so unloaded the machine and put another load on while we talked. I did some dishes and when I finally sat down DD2 sat with me and ended up going to sleep. She slept while DP was in the bathroom, from about 10.30-11.30am. She woke up and I gave her a snack and we went outside to hang out more washing. All this time DP was sitting on the computer, except for the hour or so he was in the bathroom. DD2 and I had some lunch, I asked DP if he wanted some but he said he has a massive headache. We've started a new diet for DD5 and DP is doing it as well. The rest of us are being a little lenient on it but we're mostly eating the same food. For DP the hard part is being off coffee, I've no doubt that's why he's having headaches, he's been quite addicted to coffee and softdrink and now he can't have either. I'm really hoping he'll stick to it but he's not good with following through. DD5 has to do it for 4 weeks, then we do challenges to see what foods we need to avoid for her. Anyway it's 2pm and DP has gone to bed. I pick DD5 up at 3pm and she's got sport today so there's my afternoon.

DP had told DS14 he would meet him in town today after school, I doubted it would happen. DS asked DP this morning if it was still happening and DP said yes. Before he went to bed he sent DS a text saying to come home, I knew he would do that. He seems to think they will go this afternoon after he's had a nap, but it won't happen. I wonder if he realises that DS will come to expect him to let him down just as I do now. He's so damn predictable. DS has been looking forward to this, I know it's going to be me that takes him into town. He wants to buy a scooter, he's saved up his money. DP was going to go with him but has been putting it off for ages. DS would have gone by himself but the shop isn't open on a weekend. I'd prefer someone else went, it's not really my area, but I can see that it will fall to me again, as usual.

Oh, before DP went to bed I commented to him about how sick I am with my life, me doing everything while he sits on the computer. That's all I said, then he rang and left a message on a driving instructor's machine about booking in for a lesson. Him having his licence would be nice, might take several lessons before that happens though.
